Scanlon, Brigitte

Brigitte Scanlon

By necessity Brigitte learned to sew her own clothes as well as refinish and upholster furniture. That knowledge sparked an interest in pottery, Italic writing, knitting and basket weaving. Brigitte then started wood carving with her father. She enjoyed them all but discovered painting and fell in love with it. After 30 plus years as a surgical nurse in Portland, Oregon, Brigitte found a new activity and a new home in Arizona.
She has taken classes in pencil drawing, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic and oils, but oils are her main interest. She especially appreciates Eddie Lopez' mentorship.
